I'm really happy with my wrapping this year! These are the gifts for my secret "Christmas Pixie" at school. Hope she likes them! :)

Everyone got a pair of christmas socks to wear! That's Alice, Delores, Jane, Michelle, Sue, Jo, Me and Skyler. Paul, Show and Pop Pop were there too but no socks for the men ;D We ate a delicious dinner, played a fun game followed by a theives gift exchange and craft making. So fun!

When: Dec. 12th or 13th around 5pm
Where: Moms house
Who: Mom, Jane, Deloros, Michelle, Abby, Jennifer, Alice, Kristi, Sky and Me (Men are also welcome :)
The point: To spend time together while creating cards, ornaments and gifts to save money this christmas
What to bring:
*A food dish: let me know meat, potatoe/casserole, salad, dessert, drinks
*Any craft stuff you've got: paper, glue, glitter, ribbons, beads, stickers, stamps
*A $10 girlie gift: candle, lotion, hair band, scarf, nail polish, wine
*A list of the people you'd like to make stuff for
What to expect: A warm meal, a get to know eachother game, hot chocolate, making stuff, and a thieves style gift exchange
You'll even get a cute pair of festive socks to wear when you come in! Let's have some fun!

My lanyard broke :( Mom bought it from Hallmark about a year ago. It was the multi-colored one in the middle of the pic. I'm desperately searching for another one but I want it to be nice not ugly and multicolored to match anything I wear. If anyone happens to come across one please let me know where! Thanx :)

I went to the WVAEA (WV art education association) conference Friday and Saturday held at the new art building at Shepherd and it was awesome! I met some cool people and I volunteered to take over the LOGO newsletter! I'm excited cause I get to flex my graphic design skillz but I'm nervous cause I have no time as it is with teaching and all! At least they only print 3 times a year. Anyway, the weather was beautiful and walking around campus was nostalgic. I miss it! I should get my masters so I can teach there. That'd be awesome!!! Wish I had some pics to post...

Sky and Show are great! Sky's been staying at her new friend Jennifer's house. Show has been playing his new basketball game and rearranging furniture making our house look amazing! We bought new curtains for the living room and it looks a lot better! I'm sad cause even though I make more now we still have no money :( Next year will be better! Don't expect much for christmas this year - I wanted to make everyones gifts but I really don't have time.... :(

Sky wanted to make a shirt to wear on 9/11 so i gave her one of Show's t-shirts and I was amazed at what she did! She's so awsome!

I finally have a second to update! I've been soooo busy! School is good so far considering I have no lessons, no materials, and no time lol! Its survival at this point! I'm psyched to get some stuff done during the 3 day weekend! Skys doing great! She comes home happy every day even though she doesnt tell me much.... teenagers sheesh ;D I'll try to post more and maybe some pics soon!

Today was great! I'm so tired though! I went to the Holiday Inn at 7:30 this morning. Listened to several speakers about the schools and their policies. They fed us salad, stuffed italian something, and desert. Then I went to Hedgesville, took a tour of the school and looked around my classroom. I got my class rosters too. I feel overwhelmed! We also want to announce our... er Skyler's new kitten! We named her Beijing (cause of the Olympics)! Sky and Beijing are the purrrfect pair! We'll have to come up with a new name for our little family though(from Pisces Tribe of 5). Any suggestions???

I'm blogging on our new computer! Its awsome! We got a 20" flat screen and its like a movie theatre screen! Theres even a mini screen on the tower you can play solitare on... not sure why but its super cool too! I'm inviting you all to come over and check it out!

It's my last week here at the bank. I'm sad to leave cause I fell in love with the relaxing work and fun co-workers, but I'm excited to start teaching! The weather has been cool and I love it! JCPenney gave me $10 and I ended up buying a super cute orange and brown argyle sweater and faded jeans. I'm so ready for fall!!!

My Super-husband made an incredible dinner again last night ~ salmon cakes with zuchini and squash! He's been learning to cook new things and last night topped the charts with me! It was my favorite! Skyler loves his london broil which he's gotten down pat! He's so amazing!

In lieu of my new teaching job, Show and I decided to buy a new computer. This morning I put the order in at Dell.com for an XPS 210. I'm wondering though if we should've gotten the 420. I'm looking forward to buying Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator with my teacher discounts and I need this computer to accomodate both. Any comments?

This just in:

Since friday a stream has been flowing across Rachels property due to the neighbors well water spewing from a broken pipe in the ground. The garage is surrounded by water and the driveway is covered by a blanket of moving water.There is water covering the floor in the garage. The police were called and said the neighbors who just recently bought the house are no where to be found. I don't see any damage to the garage but a box spring being stored there is ruined.

Update: The neighbor showed up yesterday, Sunday, and appologized. He had no idea why the leak happened but he fixed it and said he'd repair any damage. :)

The interview went great! Unfortunately he's interviewing a teacher this morning and teachers get first pick :( He was gonna let me know either way by the 15th of the month.

I have an interview Monday at Hedgesville High! Yippee!

I'm stressed. Haven't heard back from Jefferson High. I saw today Hedgesville High needs an art teacher so I applied for it. We'll see. I don't even want to teach high school. Sigh...

Anyway, I got a facial yesterday. $70! Thats with a make-up session and $10 tip. I'm glad I did it for the experience but I probably wouldn't do it again. Thankfully Sue's a Mary Kay consultant and she said she'd help me on the big day. Thank you Sue!!!

I've done as much planning and prep as I can now so I guess we're just waiting for the day to see if it all comes together alright. To see if rains. To see if I get strep cause my co-worker has it. I feel like I need to relax. I'll probably have some wine this weekend ;)

We had a quiet and pleasant weekend. Got chores done. Played some Scrabble. Rented Jumper and The Bucket List. Could've passed on Jumper :( Show loved Bucket List! I'm gonna watch it tonight. Hope everyone else had a good weekend!

I'm happy :) The wedding is coming together (I love my colors!) :) I get 2 days off this weekend :) and we're going to the Wine and Arts Festival tomorrow :) The only thing I wish I had was more money! Doesn't everyone though! Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend!
