We continued our hunt for a house today. We expanded our search from just Shepherdstown to other small community type areas such as Laurel Ridge in Hedgesville. Note to new home buyers: don't call every agent on every sign! We learned the annoying way that all agents can show you all the houses in an area lol! (Remind us to tell you the story of Curious George!) Anyway, we found a nice agent and she showed us several houses a little higher than we were hoping to pay. At first I didn't want a townhouse but after talking we decided it doesn't hurt to look. We fell in love not just with the coziness of it but also with the price, only $120! Apart from finding a great location, 5 minutes from both mine and Show's work, we were amazed by the number of young children playing around every corner which is what we lacked living on rt. 9. In addition, Sky's Father lives on the opposite side of the community, giving Skyler and her Father more opportunity to spend time together. We made an offer of $115 and we're waiting to hear back! We're so excited!!! Here's a pic...
